DESCRIPTION: THE PLEASANT LAKE RIDE presented by Jolly Pumpkin Artisan Ales + Kitchen is a FREE self-supported gravel/mixed terrain ride. The ride is NOT A RACE and it’s NOT A NO DROP RIDE either. You could call it a glorified training ride if you really need to call it something. Go as fast or as slow as you’d like... We really don't care. Just come ride! Everyone who completes the Pleasant Lake Ride is a winner!
3 FLAVORS - There will be 3 flavors available to enjoy. 50k, 100k, and 100-miles. Sign up for whatever one you think you'll do and then on the day of the event you can switch if you'd like. 50k is for people looking to get a taste of gravel riding or to enjoy a super chill ride. 100k is for the seasoned rider looking to get in a good workout with friends. The 100-miler is for the hard core gravel enthusiast and it gets a little spicey towards the end.
PRE-RIDE RAFFLE - RSVP for THE PLEASANT LAKE RIDE and be entered into a raffle for a Jolly Pumpkin + Kitchen $25 gift card. Must be present to win.
RIDER'S GUIDE - The guide will be sent out to all who have registered a few days before the ride. The rider's guide will have all the info you need to have a good time!
DEMO BIKES - Interested in riding some gravel with us but not sure your current bike can handle the gravel? Wheels in Motion has gravel demo bikes available. Give them a call or stop by the shop if you are interested in checking one out for the ride. Telephone : 734-971-2121
ROUTE - The route is on OPEN ROADS. Riders must obey all traffic laws, including stopping at STOP signs, not crossing the center line of the road, etc. The routes will NOT be marked and you will have to upload the route to your Garmin. These routes will be included in the rider's guide that will be sent out closer to the ride.
POST-RIDE - There will be beverages and food available for purchase
RAFFLE - We will raffle off a Garmin Edge post-ride. You can purchase tickets before the ride starts on 7/11/20. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to Trail's Edge Camp.
